 Lasik

The laser used in LASIK is also used to treat the cornea. Correction of myopia is an ophthalmic treatment that applies the technology.

Surgery flow

LASIK has various techniques, but the basics are the same.

・Surgery is scheduled to take about 20 minutes from entering the operating room to leaving the room.

・Pain during surgery is controlled with topical anesthesia and preoperative analgesics.

・Simultaneous surgery on both eyes is possible due to good visual acuity.

Do not overcorrect

If you try to correct myopia a little stronger, it will be overcorrected and become farsighted. For patients in their 20s, it is easier to see with a little overcorrection, but for patients in their 40s, overcorrection makes near vision difficult and results in so-called presbyopia. When that happens, eyestrain appears and complains of poor physical condition such as headache. In order to have a comfortable postoperative life, we will inspect how much myopia is corrected and what degree it will be. Three tests are required for this. If the patient is not satisfied, he/she will be asked to come to the hospital for examination 4 or 5 times.

Satisfaction with postoperative visual acuity depends on astigmatism

Astigmatism is simply a distortion of the eyes. Astigmatism can be in the entire eye. The feature is that the image looks dull.

It is astigmatism that comes to mind when eyesight improves. Many people have astigmatism. If you have more than 1 degree of astigmatism (expressed as 1 diopter in ophthalmology), you need to correct your astigmatism. Eye LASIK and WAVEFRONT LASIK are LASIK that can accurately measure individual astigmatism powers and perform accurate correction irradiation.
